Alexis Bacci
The biography
Alexis Bacci is a French-Italian author who graduated from Gobelins in 2001. He is the author of Soir de match, a spin-off of the Lastman series, for which he received the Daruma Award for Best International Manga at Japan Expo 2019. That same year, he released Captain Death, a metaphysical slasher manga noted for its references to 1970s science fiction manga. In 2022, he published Dérives with Glénat, a dark tale in the vein of Italian horror cinema, recounting the underwater adventures of elderly Japanese pearl divers. Then, in 2025, he published Possessions, an esoteric and autobiographical thriller, also with Glénat.
